The project features a 13m lap pool with infinity edge, this doubles as site retaining on this elevated block. The home is designed for dual occupancy, with a self contained apartment on the ground floor. There is 10kw of solar and household battery so the house is totally energy self sufficient. There are numerous small features built into the building fabric such as concealed downpipes, and a fascia with a hidden drip cavity to keep the home looking clean at al times.

Located on a steeply sloping lot, the design and construction team had to come up with an inventive solution to retain the block without excessive cost. A concrete lap pool was installed in such a way that it provided the key retaining structure for the home. Other than a handful of verandah posts, the structure is entirely timber framed. The designer worked closely with the engineer and builder to design a structural solution that allowed for wide openings and clear spans without the use of steel. This both saved cost and time on site.
